A National Association headquartered in Chicago was faced with the task of consolidating their Information Technology department. The need was to quickly determine both team and individual strengths, identify potential problems, integrate new responsibilities and merge two groups into one smaller, but cohesive unit.
Solution: EC Associates initially created an initial job template based on input from the Vice President of Technical Services. All participants were assessed and a TeamBest report was generated. This report provided our client with a high level view of the human capital currently on staff and management was provided with insights to realigning responsibilities and the appropriate individuals were chosen to move into customer-centric or more technically challenging roles. SelfDevelop Best reports were generated to allow the individuals to initiate self improvement efforts. CoachBest reports were provided to empower existing managers to direct and monitor individual efforts.
The client was enabled to selectively reduce head count in this department by determining which employees possessed the right mix of "soft skills" to be contributors in a streamlined development environment.
