Our client, a high-end clothing retailer with stores in 4 states, was expanding their buying department staff. What was first looked at as a "neat" idea to study their existing personnel turned into a strategic process to hire the best applicants for the new positions from an existing internal pool of applicants.
Solution: EC Associates performed a initial benchmark study of the existing buyers on staff and delivered a Team Report and executive summary. Through this study it was determined that several key behaviors made the current employees successful in their job. Through additional consultation, it was determined that by emphasizing these key behaviors an effective hiring job template was developed to be used by the client.
The finalists for the job openings were assessed and SelectBest reports were generated for the client. EC Associates provided detailed feedback as to the best possible matches for the buyers job responsibilities and was able to identify key behavioral interactions that would make some candidates more successful than others.
